About Us

A little about us, married couple Dr Elizabeth Johnston-Young a medical writer and Steve a landscape architect, busy designing and looking after properties and gardens. We love our family, Labrador and to travel. Our passions are writing, art, music and photography . Many journeys together are on the Harley-Davidson® for both short and long rides. However getting on a plane to our favourite island in the sun Ibiza is always a welcome trip. Travels near and far, as well as an abundance of photos can be seen on my blog. We absolutely love travelling in the UK and Europe. Whether it is by car, Harley-Davidson®, train, boat or plane. We will get there. Sometimes on our own, at times with family and often with good friends.

Country living

We live in East Lothian, Scotland. In our idyllic country cottage with sheep and a large field for neighbours. It’s grand to live in the country with no street lights and a narrow road to drive on. However, we are only half an hours drive from Edinburgh, or an hour into city centre at busy time. Win win situation for us.

Steve is an enthusiastic motorcyclist. He is Safety Officer for Harley-Davidson Owner’s Group (HOG) The Dunedin Chapter Scotland. Which we are both members. We are active members, taking part in regular meetings, runs, etc. Steve is on the road crew for the Chapter.

Elizabeth has carcinoid syndrome. Amongst other things. Living life with a feed line. A RIG into my tummy. I can feed on a pump and bolus. When I’m on the bike I wear a backpack and have the feed running. Despite it being hard some days I don’t let it get me down. I get great support from family, friends, clinicians, and my net natter group; The Ann Edgar Trust
